But I was very surprised by how tired and lifeless I felt. I guess I missed that sugar high, even if I didn't allow myself much of it! But that goes away, and I can now get through tough workouts without needing that carb boost and the best part is, there's no crash afterward! Just even, steady energy. It's pretty great!

Anyways, I love reading your blog. It makes me laugh! And it's so nice to read a realistic portrayel. Life happens! Sometimes you drink, sometimes you eat a cookie. And you move on! But the bottom line is, this is a choice you have to make everyday, every time you eat. And it's not always an easy choice in such a non-primal society. It was eye opening for me, because I did not drink alcohol or eat sugar for over a year before going primal/paleo and thought I ate pretty healthfully. Cutting out grains made a huge difference for me (no more brain fog, fatigue, or acne). Now, when I do have a cheat meal with grains, my stomach gets bloated and hurts, and I feel tired and crappy. How do I get my hubby on board?

I've read all about the primal lifestyle and I'm as ready as I'm ever gonna be to get on board. I've been gluten/dairy free for years (as well as a few other foods I avoid due to intolerances), but still make separate meals for hubby and myself (when I work late/don't have the energy to make something that's compatible with both of our interests). For example, tonight I made tacos (full of gluten and dairy) for hubby, and pumpkin soup for me.

What's the best way to get him on board? He's very much in love with his carbs/standard american diet. Granted, we both try to eat healthy, and he is probably at 12-15% body fat, therefore doesn't have much to lose, so that's not really a motivation for him. But he eats this stuff all the time, and I don't want to keep having to make 2 meals.

When I went GF, I just tried to make more of our meals naturally GF. Meat, veggies, other sides...that sort of thing. I just feel like I'm going to run into some resistance here.

Any suggestions?

Ah, the good ol' Induction Flu.
